Workshops and symposia during the years 2005-2006

1). The 1^st Workshop (the Inaugural Workshop): The International Symposium on the Jurassic Boundary Events and the First Symposium of the IGCP 506, held from Nov. 1-4, 2005 in Nanjing, P.R. China; About 100 participants from 14 countries joined this meeting, including USA, UK, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Romania, Poland, Australia, Japan, Thailand, India, Viet Nam and China, followed by a series of talks and saloon in Beijing and Nanjing. The first business meeting of the international working group of IGCP 506 was held during the workshop in Nanjing on Nov. 2005. 

2). The 2nd Workshop: A Topical Session “Marine and Non-marine Jurassic: Biodiversity and ecosystem” was held at the Second International Palaeontological Congress (IPC2006) in Peking University, Beijing, China from June 17-19, 2006. About 20 participants from 10 countries involved in this session. The IPC2006 congress itself has totally 800 participants from 40 countries.

3). The 3rd Workshop: A Special session was organized for IGCP506 during the “7^th International Congress on the Jurassic System” held in Krakow, Poland from Sept. 11-14, 2006. About 65 participants from more than 20 counties joined this session (including special session, oral and poster sessions). The 7^th ISJS itself has 200 participants from 35 countries. The second business meeting of the international working group of IGCP 506 was held during the congress in Krakow on Sept.. 2006.
