主要学术方向:
   开展了我国华南和西藏冈瓦纳大陆北缘海相二叠纪-三叠纪以及新疆陆相二叠-三叠纪地层的碳同位素和生物标志化合物等有机地球化学的研究,探讨二叠纪末期生物灭绝过程涉及的火山事件、海洋缺氧事件、海平面变化等环境事件的时序关系和综合作用机制。提出二叠纪末期生物事件与海洋水体光合作用带硫化氢富集毒化有关的论点;认为二叠纪长兴期存在超过2个百万年的长周期海洋缺氧事件;通过稳定碳同位素变化,尝试建立二叠纪-三叠纪海-陆相地层的事件对比。共发表论文51篇,第一作者13篇,其中SCI收录论文24篇,论文SCI他引次数561次。获得过“江苏省科学技术进步奖”一等奖(2008年度)和“国家自然科学奖”二等奖(2010年度),江苏省“333高层次人才工程”培养对象(第三层次)。
   现在承担国家973项目《二叠纪环境变化的生命和地质记录与大规模火山作用之间的关系》。

1989年9月-1993年7月:南京大学,地球科学系,古生学与地层学专业,从事华北地区下古生界叠层石礁相研究。本科,学士;
1993年9月-1996年7月:南京大学,地球科学系,古生物学与地层学专业,从事奥陶系、志留系地层中笔石化石反射率与烃源岩成熟度的研究,研究生,硕士;
1996年9月-1999年7月:中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所,从事华南海相二叠系-三叠系界线附近有机碳和无机碳同位素变化研究。研究生,博士;
