王伟,研究员。浙江绍兴上虞人。1995年国科学院南京地质古生物研究所获博士学位,2000年2月-2002年3月在日本东京大学进行博士后研究,1999年9-12月在美国麻省理工学院(MIT)进行合作研究。1985年毕业于中国地质大学应用化学系工业分析专业,1988年毕业于中国科学院兰州地质所和青海盐湖所,获环境地球化学硕士学位。
从事二叠纪古环境演变和生物事件的化学标志和化学原因,特别是以稳定同位素为主的化学标志,以及化学地层对比等研究。同时还涉及了晚前寒武纪环境事件的化学标志追踪。首次发现华南前乐平统事件的同位素证据,以及前乐平统生物事件的发展演化过程、首次提出三峡地区存在“后马林诺冰期”的大陆冰期事件。已发表论著20余篇(部),其中英文10余篇,SCI收录论文10余篇, 其中, Science 合作3篇。
目前,正在组织力量探索新科学技术背景下的古生物学技术进步的新途径,以及管理专业及科普网站:化石网(大众)中国化石在线(专业)。
